Beginning to pack. It feels good after all to be filled with the possiblites of a new place, new experiences and a chance to finish some unfinished business. This time I will not be pregnant for the better part of a year with twins and although I have my darlings to entertain, it will be infinitely more fun than the 6 months I spent on my side, alone, in bed. I have the experience of Paris, the memorized map and subway to aid my return and I will dive headfirst back into the language and try and try and work and try.
Excuse my absence lately, I am sure you understand. There will be pictures and more, lots more as soon as I am able to reconnect the camera to the computer and the computer to the internet after we move.
We are vacating our house May 30th (the contents of our house + our car are being shipped overseas) and staying in a fancy presidential suite on Central Park for 5 nights, maybe a few more, then flying to Paris and inhabiting our new apartment, followed by all of our stuff. Thank God my Mom is here to help. Thank God. Thank you God.
I just hope the boys are up to it all. I’ll try to make it as stress free for all of us as possible. Really, the most stressful part is behind us, not knowing what we are going to do from day to day is so much more stressful than just doing something. I know this by feeling the knot in my stomach start to loosen again.
I got a fantasic digital camera and feel so liberated again. It is the best camera in the world and I love it love it love it. I finally have all the control back that I have been desperately missing these past two photo deprived years.
