Lucas is a gifted dancer. I was only able to catch a little bit of it this morning, usually he goes on and on, but it is adorable to watch. He loves music and when he wants me to turn it on, he looks at me and starts rocking from side to side. You can see that in the very beginning of the video, right before the song comes on. I love to watch him dance, it is the most precious thing I have ever seen. Recently he has started getting his arms into it more. I don’t know where he gets some of his new moves
We have frequent dance parties in the mornings and turn the music way up and go nuts in the living room.
OK, scratch the last post, we are back to not knowing whether we move to FR this spring or not. Anyhow, I am done being stressed out about it. Whatever happens, we will make the best of it. For now, life is good, the days are good. Here is an adorable video of Lucas’ new car. I have never seen him love something so much as this Little Tykes Cozy Coupe II. He never left it, all evening; he even drank his bedtime bottle in it. He did take a quick bath and two mintues into it he looked up and said “Guck!” and climbed out of the tub, ran downstairs naked and sat in the car. I had a hard time getting his PJ’s on. I put him in his crib and he kept saying “Ga Guck, Ga Ga Ga Guck.” until he fell asleep. He is deeply in love.
I don’t know how to explain how it has worked out that we aren’t moving back to France this summer, but we’re not. whew. That was a close one. It is still not sure whether we might need to go back there sometime next year, but who knows, and who cares. I am happy to stay put for this summer and enjoy our house. It is pointless to plan anything farther out than that anyway. So, in the joy of picturing ourselves here indefinately we got a kitten! She is a little sweetie. It is so nice to have a cat again, I didn’t realize how much I had missed it until she was purring snuggled up next me the night we took her home. She reminds me of Mama, and I couldn’t be happier. I am infamously terrible at naming my animals; a name will come but for now she is kitty.

Through this blog you all know that the past 18 months have been crazy for us, and we were hoping to finally STOP moving but the recent economy might have forced other plans on us. We don’t know the nature of those plans yet, but they may involve a move back to Paris for a few years. Bertram’s American projects have stopped or been put on hold, and there is no work here. The main office for AJN is in Paris, and that is where the work is. We don’t know yet what is going to happen and are trying to figure something else out so that we can stay here in the town that we love. So keep your fingers crossed for us. It has been very stressful.
The boys are marvelous. Lucas has been trying to say peek-a-boo, he thinks the word is hilarious. Eliot says ‘what’s that?’ in the most innocent way. It melts me. They are both working hard on walking up and down the stairs like big boys; it is their main occupation. Lucas is a natural dancer and loves music, and Eliot expresses more joy and emotion than any living being I have ever met. I love that in him.
He are some adorable videos from when we were still in FL.
