These file sizes are really big so the images could take a while to upload, when I get home, I’ll reduce the file sizes on my computer. These are from today, the boys had a great Christmas and played for hours in this wonderful park. Merry Christmas to you all!
Eliot didn’t like it at all.
We all went to the grocery store this morning after we dropped Bertram off at the train station. I put Eliot in the seat on the cart and Lucas in the cart. Lucas likes to play with the groceries as we go and he isn’t a big fan of being put into seats. So we loaded up and paid and as I was walking back to the car, I noticed Eliot holding a huge block of Colby Jack cheese that we didn’t pay for. He had a solid grip on it, I couldn’t convince him to let go even to put him back in his car seat. It was snowing and cold and nobody in the store noticed the cheese thief so I didn’t really think it was nessesary to go back and pay for it, besides, the babies are way too young for it to be a lesson. When we got home, he still had a hold on that chesse and the moment he got into the house, he held it up to me, eyes wide, asking for it to be opened. I opened it for him and he devoured a large chunk, smiling contentedly.
Isa sent us a Christmas box and I let the boys open their presents this morning when they woke up. The videos are from 6am so it is still very dark
They loved their new stuffed animals, they opened the presents by themselves but unfortunately I didn’t have the camera around then. They started sunggling them immediately, it was so cute. They continued to snuggle them all day long, they love stuffed animals right now. Thanks Isa!
If you haven’t seen The Wiggles, you probably don’t have one year olds. The Wiggles are a group of four Australian men who have to be taking something strong. I have even started to get used to it, after watching 20 minute segments 3 times/day. Eliot is totally in love with the show, he’ll find my laptop and grunt and pat the top of it telling me that he’d like to now watch the wiggles. I don’t always comply but it is a great way for them to wind down before a nap. They like me to sit there and watch it too, so all day long I have the songs stuck in my head; “Brown girl in the ring, tra la la la la. Dance to the music tra la la la la la la… and she looks like a sugar and a plum, plum plum plum.” ”My dog wags, my dog wags, he eats so much that his tummy drags, oh me oh my, he barks all day and night…” I hate that those songs run through my head all day, it is really the worst part.
They know tons of words now, they know where their toes are, where the flowers are, Lucas points to every light he can find wherever we are. His favorite things are lights, wheels and fans. Eliot’s favorite thing is food. They both love to go outside and push their toys around the driveway. They also are really into snuggling things right now. They snuggle bears, pictures of bears, even the computer screen when a bear is on it. They snuggle my toes and their favorite things that they love, even each other occationally. It has got to be the sweetest thing I have ever seen in my life. They are pure goodness.

Sorry I have been MIA, moving was hard work and I got really sick after the stress subsided. My brother came to visit for Thanksgiving and my Mom was here too. We were finally settled in enough to make a great dinner and my friend Joe was here to join us. My Mom and I have been busy painting and making progress on the house. We painted the playroom today and I think that was the last remaining white room. I’ll post pictures of our work soon. Here are some from the past two weeks:
