Scratch that ‘new’ address, we decided on another place at the last minute.  New address:

151 West 13th street Apartment 2  New york, New York 10011

We move December 30th

Merry Christmas!!!

Yesterday the boys had their first round of shots.  They had to get 5 seperate ones all in the thighs.  The nurse just jammed them in there too, like 3 inches of needle, right into the muscle.  It was horrible for me, I could barely stand it.  I started crying immediately when Lucas did, it broke my heart to have to hold him down.  I wanted to run screaming.  They did better than I expected though.  Eliot barely cried and fell right asleep afterwards.  I gave them plenty of infant tylenol for the rest of the day to make sure they weren’t in pain and because of all of it, we had the best nights sleep EVER!  They each woke up 1 time!  I couldn’t believe my eyes when the first time Eliot cried the clock read 4am.  I felt refreshed, at 4am!  There was a happy ending to the day I had been dreading for quite some time.

Lucas weighed 14.5 lbs and Eliot just a bit more.  They were in the 50th percentile for height and the 90th for weight.  They like to eat :] The doctor was very happy with their overall health and progress.

They are back to normal today and they seem unaffected by yesterdays trauma.  I think it was worse for me than it was for them in the end.  They dont even seem to be sore, I think I would be after all that.  Little guys…

We finally have an apartment in the city thanks to Bertram’s hard work.  He spent the last week running all over the city looking at dozens of overpriced places, but he finally found one for us to live in. Our new address starting Jan. 1 will be:

184 East 7th Street, Apartment 10, New York, New York 10009

It is a 2 bedroom right across the street from Tompkins Square park, with a veiw over the park.  We are very excited to be all together again!  I’ll post some pictures of it as soon as we get settled in a bit.

We are now waking up every two hours again.  I dont know if it’s really hunger, possibly a growth spurt or just because it’s more fun.

All I want for Christmas is a full nights sleep.

Lucas and Eliot have found their voices and are making all kinds of new and funny sounds.  Eliot is making one of them right now very loudly in the livingroom, it is called screaming, so I must go.

I had my Dad take some Christmas pictures of us and it was difficult to get a good one.  The babies look a bit confused and a little squished.  I put them all on here so I didn’t have to choose a favorite.  Merry Christmas!!

We find ourselves at the mall often now.  At least a lot more than before Lucas and Eliot were born which was nearly never.  The boys love the stimulation and the accoustics and they are usually on their best behavior or sleeping while we are there.  We usually go both Saturday and Sunday afternoons and we rarely buy anything.  I am starting to get sick of it, we have been to every mall in Atlanta multiple times and I am not much for malls in the first place.  It is a great way for Bertram and I to have some time together though, so once the boys start getting bored at the house, and we start getting antsy, off to the mall!  Here are some mall pictures from yesterday :)
